Creamy Scrambled Eggs

Scrambled Eggs and Porridge

Ingredients

  • 4 Large eggs
  • 5g of unsalted butter
  • salt
  • pepper
  • chives (optional garnish)
  • Lumpfish caviar (optional garnish)

Cooking utensils

  • Non-stick pan
  • Bowl
  • Whisk

Method

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients

  1. Place a non-stick pan over medium-low heat and allow it to reach temperature while preparing the rest of the ingredients
  2. Crack 4 egs into a bowl and whisk vigorously until the eggs are completely homogenous
  3. Measure out your butter

Step 2: Cooking

  1. Take your pan off the hob and add the butter and swirl until it coats the pan
  2. Add in the eggs while the pan is off the hob
  3. Whisk the eggs vigorously within the pan while moving the pan on and off the heat every 10-20 seconds until the eggs start to form. This should take around 5 minutes
    • This step is crucial to ensure the eggs are creamy. You want to remove the pan as soon as the eggs start to thicken and are just slightly underdone. They will cook in the plate

Step 3: Remove from the heat

Remove from the heat and add in a pinch of salt and crack some fresh black pepper

Step 4: Garnish

Serve the eggs on a plate and optionally add your chosen garnish on top. My favourite is freshly chopped chives and Lumpfish caviar
